ECWA Lifts Boil Water Advisory for Isolated Areas in Hamburg & Orchard Park Impacted by Main Break

Posted January 25, 2021

                                                                                                                                    January 25, 2021

Dear Customer:

ECWA has lifted the boil water advisory for the customers in the isolated areas of Hamburg and Orchard Park impacted by the January 23 water main break. The required ban was lifted after ECWA completed a full water quality sampling and testing plan and found no issues.

Two rounds of sampling and testing were performed within the impacted area and results of the analysis show that ECWA drinking water meets all regulatory standards for safety and quality. ECWA drinking water in the impacted areas is fully safe to consume and use.

From our water quality team and administrative staff to our repair crews and board of commissioners, we are deeply appreciative of your understanding and flexibility through this time and remain committed to providing all our customers the highest quality service and water that they can trust.

Sincerely,

Erie County Water Authority
