The Erie County Water Authority (ECWA) has completed the installation of 4,500 linear feet of new water main on Greiner Road between Transit Road and Via Del Sol in the Town of Clarence.
The new 16-inch diameter water main replaced a an older 6-inch water main. The new, larger diameter water main will improve service delivery, fire protection, and provide more reliable service for customers.
The $1.8 million infrastructure project is funded through ECWA’s 2021 budget, which included $55.2 million for system-wide infrastructure upgrades. This year’s infrastructure investment spending is part of ECWA’s overall $317 million five-year infrastructure investment plan.
