ECWA Begins Installation of New Watermains in the Town of Clarence

Posted August 24, 2022

The Erie County Water Authority (ECWA) has started construction installing 7,700 linear feet of watermains on Greiner Road, Shimerville Road, Country Club Road, Arondale Road, Elm Street, and Hartwig Drive in the town of Clarence.

The new watermains will improve service delivery, fire protection, and provide more reliable service for customers in these sections of the town. ECWA expects work to be completed by December of this year.

The $2.3 million infrastructure investment project was funded through the ECWA’s 2022 budget, which included $76.2 million for system-wide infrastructure upgrades. The 2022 infrastructure upgrades are part of ECWA’s overall $321 million five-year infrastructure investment plan.
